Pasquale Mirra: vibraphone, log drum, Tibetan bells, timpani, percussion
For this project, created in collaboration with the Ljubljana Jazz Festival, vibraphonist Pasquale Mirra draws inspiration from the poetry of the Slovenian poet Srečko Kosovel, marking the centenary of his untimely death. Channeling Kosovel’s vision and energy, Mirra reflects the poet’s search for new forms of expression through an intuitive and experimental approach to sound. Through rhythms, textures, and carefully chosen instrumentation, he explores the many dimensions of Kosovel’s poetry.
Project commissioned and produced by the Ljubljana Jazz Festival, in collaboration with Circolo Controtempo – Jazz & Wine of Peace Festival.
