With the XVI Edition “The new routes of Jazz”, returns the review hosted at the Auditorium of the Revoltella Museum in Trieste dedicated to the new jazz sounds in the sign of new and refined musical languages.
“The new routes of Jazz” – supported by MiBACT, the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, the Municipality of Trieste, the Revoltella Museum and the Trieste Conservatory “Giuseppe Tartini” – will see artistic and sound messages very different from each other but united by the common denominator of experimentation and search.
This year, Controtempo takes part in La festa della Musica, adding a date to Le Nuove Rotte del Jazz, with the duo formed by Raffaele Casarano and Marco Bardoscia.
The Music Festival was born on 21 June 1982 on the initiative of the French Ministry of Culture: all over France, amateur and professional musicians invade the streets, courtyards, squares, gardens, stations, museums. Not only content to make the musical practice visible, the Music Festival has become an authentic social phenomenon.
Since 1985, the European Year of Music, the Music Festival takes place in Europe and in the world. Since 1995, Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Budapest, Naples, Paris, Prague, Rome, Senigallia are the founding cities of the European Music Festival Association. Since 2002, thanks to the work done by AIPFM (Italian Association for the Promotion of the Music Festival), in Italy more than 500 cities have joined, creating a network distributed throughout the national territory. Many live music concerts take place every year, on June 21st, in all cities, mainly in the open air, with the participation of musicians of all levels and of all kinds.
