SIMONE GRAZIANO FRONTAL (Italy, USA)

Dan Kinzelman: tenor sax
Simone Graziano: Fender Rhodes, synth
Gabriele Evangelista: double bass
Stefano Tamborrino: drums

Considered one of the best composers of the Italian jazz scene, the Tuscan pianist Simone Graziano presents the second recording experience at the helm of the Frontal quartet.
A music that moves with ease within the complex musical architectures where Graziano demonstrates his mastery in knowing how to manage spaces and dynamics with effective structures and themes and where no instrumental voice prevails over the others. Many of the compositions have a circular shape: the parts chase each other chasing each other in a spiral. In this game the standard idea of canonical accompaniment of the theme is lost; each voice dances with the others.
All this expressive universe demonstrates the absolute desire to democratize the instrumental parts in a project of extraordinary visionary-evocative force poised between free sonority and New York school influences.
The presence on the stage of the talented musicians Gabriele Evangelista, Dan Kinzelman and Stefano Tamborrino, allows the project to reach the maximum expressive level.
