The Abbey of Rosazzo stands on the eastern hills of Friuli, between Udine and Slovenia. The view enjoyed from the abbey on sunny days is incomparable. From the “belvedere” you can admire all the surrounding landscape that stretches from the Collio to the Adriatic: a palette of lush vineyards, olive groves and plains leading, finally, to the sea. Even today the millennial Abbey represents the meeting point between West and East, a dialogue between different cultures. The Abbey offers important cultural activities, including the Abbey Colloquiums, Easter and Christmas concerts, Rosazzo da Rosa and the Biennale of Contemporary Art. In the abbey complex, in addition to the church dedicated to San Pietro, we find the oldest winery in Friuli. The historic vineyards that surround the Abbey are managed by Livio Felluga’s winery, which produces a Rosazzo DOCG called "Abbazia di Rosazzo".
