EASTERN BORDER QUARTET special guest Saverio Tasca

Lovro Mirth: voice
Piercarlo Favro: guitar
Simone Lanzi: double bass
Mathias Butul: drums
special guest: Saverio Tasca, vibraphone

The quartet consists of Lovro Mirth (vocals), Piercarlo Favro (guitar), Simone Lanzi (double bass) and Mathias Butul (drums) who, having met at the Trieste Conservatory, developed together the idea of the double bass player to approach all genres of Balkan music to the improvisational language of jazz. Seemingly so distant, these two cultures find their meeting point in the ensemble's sound, based on improvisation. Their repertoire therefore wants to accompany the listener on a journey through the Middle Eastern culture of which all the countries of the Balkan region are pregnant.

Special guest of the evening will be Saverio Tasca, vibraphonist and marimbist devoted to the composition, since the first experiences he plays and writes in various languages: jazz, contemporary, classical, collaborating with international artists.

In collaboration with the Jazz School of the "Giuseppe Tartini" Conservatory of Trieste.
