His style is fluid, intuitive and very creative, characterized by melodies of modernist music, exploratory post-bob, jazz-funk, swing and hard bop. Oh has the innate ability to seemingly lengthen the timing of her songs without losing the sense of lyricism or groove, stabilizing herself as a leading bassist. The result is a rigorous and moderately avant-garde jazz, which breathes the current city in which she resides, New York, mottled with ethnic sounds.
