RYMDEN means “space”, “universe”, terms that clarify the aesthetics of this trio that features music that is innately Scandinavian in mood and attitude. However, this is not a “Scandinavian sound” as you might imagine, it is not music for meditating on a mountaintop or in peaceful fjords. This is music characterized by robust dynamism, extended playing techniques, gloomy and melancholy atmospheres and offering cinematic and epic sounds, cascading dramas, tensions and releases. In the same drafts of the notes, then, we move from classic atmospheres (especially Bach’s) to the suggestions of soundtracks, all streaked with clear rock references.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
