Nel contesto tradizionale africano la musica rappresenta molto pi\u00f9 che un mero intrattenimento, \u00e8 richiamata dalla memoria storica collettiva, impiantata nella comunit\u00e0 dalla coesione sociale, rafforza il vincolo col mondo spirituale, \u00e8, in poche parole,parte integrante della societ\u00e0 stessa.<\/span><\/p>\n

Non fanno eccezione i sudafricani BCUC<\/strong>, acronimo che sta per Bantu Continua Uhuru Consciousness<\/strong>, giunti con “Emakhosini<\/em>” al loro secondo lavoro dopo il debutto del 2016 con \u201cOur Nation<\/em>\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMusica per le persone da parte delle persone con le persone\u201d<\/em>, cos\u00ec definiscono la loro musica i sette membri di questo collettivo nato a Soweto a due passi dalla chiesa dove negli anni dell’apartheid Desmond Tutu organizzava la fuga degli attivisti ricercati dalla polizia. Il loro intento \u00e8 quello di dare voce in chiave contemporanea al messaggio degli antenati, richiamando la forza delle tradizioni indigene, dove il sound del jazz degli anni 70 e 80 viene rivisitato in chiave hip hop e poi intriso di una energia tutta afro punk.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBCUC  arrivano dal Sud Africa con la loro energetica, unica, magica formula portando le voci degli antenati riproposte in chiavi sonore miste di vibrazioni funk e punk rock intrise di hip hop rievocando Fela e tante altre infiltrazioni musicali\u201d<\/em> Gilles Peterson, BBC Radio 6 Music\/Worldwide FM.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
