Fondatore dei gruppi Mobile e Ronin, ha collaborato con Laurie Anderson, Bang on a Can All Stars, Basel Sinfonietta e numerose realt\u00e0 artistiche internazionali. La sua ricerca integra musica e movimento, con un\u2019attenzione particolare alle arti marziali e alle tecniche corporee come l\u2019Aikido e il Feldenkrais.<br \/>\nIn solo al pianoforte, B\u00e4rtsch restituisce la quintessenza della sua visione: architetture sonore ipnotiche, fatte di poliritmie e silenzi, in cui ogni nota diventa parte di un rito contemporaneo.
