\nIn this project, the kora is the undisputed protagonist, accompanied by guitar and double bass to create sounds that transport the mind to faraway places. A typical instrument of the Mandinka peoples of West Africa, the kora is played by the jali, traditionally belonging to a family of griots, the narrators of oral history. The griot in this project is Jali Babou Saho, originally from Gambia, joined by Luca Zennaro on guitar and Simone Serafini on double bass.<\/span><\/i> <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
